A practical breakdown of my process from brief to results

01
Getting to Know Each Other

Every project begins with a conversation. Whether it's by email, a phone call, or a video meeting, this is the time where we set expectations, I learn about your vision, and we make sure we are a good fit to work together.

02
The Brief

After our initial conversation, I will send you a short questionnaire. This helps me learn more about your business, your goals, and your audience. It also gives you time to think through your answers without pressure. Having your thoughts written down helps keep the project clear and focused as we move forward.

03
Proposal and Agreement

Once I have a solid understanding of what you need, I will send you a proposal. It will include the scope of work, the deliverables, the timeline, and the price. If everything looks good, I will follow up with a contract and an invoice for a deposit, usually one-half or one-third of the total cost depending on what we have agreed.

04
Research and Exploration

Once the agreement is in place, I revisit your questionnaire and do any additional research needed to better understand your industry and target audience. This is the foundation for creating a logo that is not only visually strong, but also strategic.

05
Concept Development

With the research in hand, I begin sketching and exploring ideas. When I have a strong concept that feels right, I present it to you for feedback. Depending on your thoughts, I either move forward with refining the design or go back to the drawing board to explore a new direction.

06
Refinement and Revisions

This part is all about collaboration. We work together to fine-tune the design until it feels just right. There is no fixed number of revisions. Within reason, I will keep working on it until you are happy with the result.

07
Final Delivery

Once the design is finalized, I prepare all the agreed-upon files and, if included, a style guide. After the final payment is received, you get everything you need. At that point, the rights to the design are officially transferred to you.

Just an example

Every project is a little different, and this breakdown is simply a general outline of how things usually go. Depending on your needs, the process might be more streamlined or more in-depth, it all depends on the brief, the goals, and what works best for you.

If you have any questions, or if you’re ready to share your project, I’d love to hear from you.
